Comprehensive Exam

We offer comprehensive care at Rooted. By examining the health of your gums, your teeth, and bone. After completing a thorough examination, we will provide you with the best treatment necessary.

At Rooted, we offer services such as adult or child prophylaxis (basic cleaning), periodontal scaling and root planning to name a few. The removal of plaque and tarter will assist in the improvement of your overall oral hygiene.

Restorative Treatment

Depending on the extent of decay, we offer a range of restorative options to help maintain a healthy mouth. For smaller cavities, we perform routine composite (tooth-colored) restorations. Teeth that have more extensive decay, either porcelain inlays, onlays or full coverage porcelain crowns may be deemed necessary.

If there is any nerve involvement or tooth infection is present, a root canal will have to be performed, which involves the removal of the nerve from the tooth canal. Dr. Patel will thoroughly explain what is necessary and why during your initial as well as any subsequent visits.

Cosmetic Treatment and Smile Makeovers

At Rooted Dental Care, we love to help patients enhance their smile. In-office whitening is a great option for those that want to add a little brightness to their smile. The 60-minute visit will have you leaving with a whiter smile.

For those that are looking to tweak their smile, whether it be changing the shape, size or shade of their teeth, porcelain veneers can be a viable approach as well. Dental bonding can repair cracked, chipped, and discolored teeth as well. At Rooted, we offer a cosmetic consultation to understand your desires so we can help you achieve the smile you desire.

Orthodontics

At Rooted, we offer “invisible” aligner treatment, such as Invisalign®, to help move your teeth without using braces! We design a customized plan to meet your orthodontic needs and desired results. Based on your smile, we can correct both aesthetic and functional issues such as spacing, crowding, rotated teeth and an overbite, to name a few. The series of comfortable, clear aligners are removable and an average case takes about 6-8 months. Our new iTero digital 3D scanner simulates your outcome the same day, allowing us to determine if clear aligners are the right option for you!

Emergency Treatment

We welcome all forms of emergencies and same-day procedures at Rooted Dental. We spend the time evaluating the area or areas that are bothering you or causing pain. Once the assessment is complete, we will create a plan of action to address your concerns. Same day procedures including (but not limited to) fillings, root canals, extractions can be completed.

TMJ/TMD Therapy

There are many reasons that we clench and grind our teeth, including stress or biologic reasons. In order to protect the teeth, joints, and muscles that hold our jaw in place, a nightguard might be recommended.

We offer Therapeutic Botox to help decrease pain in the TMJ area. Clenching and grinding can wear down the teeth and may be the underlying cause of tension headaches that disrupt daily life. While nightguards are our first line of therapy, the implementation of Botox therapy can effectively relieve the symptoms.

Sleep Apnea Treatment

Snoring is a widespread problem. Not only does it affect the sleep of the person snoring, but it also affects the bed partner. We make jokes about sleeping in separate rooms, but did you know that snoring could be a sign of something more? Under-diagnosed and frequently dismissed simply as harmless, yet annoying snoring, “Obstructive Sleep Apnea” (OSA) is a dangerous condition. Many patients suffering from mild to moderate sleep apnea find that a custom dental appliance can manage their symptoms.

Laser Dentistry

Laser treatments can be implemented to remove or alter hard or soft tissue in a variety of dental procedures. If a patient presents with infected and inflamed gum tissue, a laser is used as adjunctive therapy to reduce bacteria levels and promotes healing of the gingiva. Laser therapy can also reduce the longevity of canker sores to help “kick start” the healing process. Other procedures such as frenectomy, releasing of the frenum on the upper lip or under the tongue, can be completed with minimal post-operative pain and reduced bleeding and inflammation. Healing time for cosmetic treatments such as gingivectomy, contouring of gums, is reduced.

Intraoral Cameras

The use of intraoral cameras has allowed us at Rooted to document any decay, broken teeth, and signs of gum and periodontal disease.  With advancements in technology, we are able to increase our detection for new cavities as well as the breakdown of existing fillings.  During your visits, we use these photos to explain the current condition of your oral health as well as use them as tools to explain potential treatment.

Advanced Oral Cancer Screenings

At Rooted Dental Care, we take oral cancer seriously. With 36,000 Americans diagnosed annually, the dental office can be the first line of defense. When detected early, there is a 90% chance of survival rate. While a clinical intraoral examination can detect lesions that are more apparent, the utilization of VELscope oral cancer screening device allows us to detect lesions that may not be visible to the naked eye. The CDC recommends an annual oral cancer screening exam.

Digital Impressions/Scanning

We have state of the art iTero 3D digital scanner that allows us to monitor your dental health as well as take mess and goop free impressions! Our scanner can help us track recession in your gums or wear on your teeth over the series of your visits with us. At Rooted, we can also take our impressions/molds for crowns, onlays, nightguards, as well as for Invisalign/clear aligner treatment.
